What does a business operations consultant do for a South Carolina small business?

An operations consultant helps you build the systems your business runs on: documented processes (SOPs), clear roles, delegation, team structure and, where it fits, AI support. At Optima Operations Consulting, the goal is a business that keeps running when you step away, not just a tidier to-do list.

Do you only work with businesses in Columbia, SC?

No. I work in person across the Midlands, including Columbia, Lexington, Irmo, West Columbia, Blythewood, Elgin, Lugoff and Camden, and virtually with business owners anywhere in South Carolina.

What kinds of businesses do you work with?

Owner-led small businesses, often with about 5 to 25 employees, where the owner is still hands-on every day. Many are home service companies such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, roofing, remodeling, cleaning, pest control and pool service. I also work with parent entrepreneurs who need the business to fit around family life.

How do I know if my business needs operations help?

Common signs are that every question comes back to you, new hires take too long to train, jobs get done differently depending on who does them, and you can't take a week off without the phone ringing. If that sounds familiar, the free Business Foundation Assessment will show you where to start.

What is the Optima Method?

The Optima Method is my framework for building a business that runs without you. It covers six foundations: Vision, Operations, Leadership, Process, Growth and Personal. Each one follows Create, Optimize, Operationalize, with AI added on top as a support layer.

Will AI replace my team?

No. AI doesn't run your business. It supports the person who does. Once your processes are written down and working, AI can take on repeatable tasks like drafting, follow-ups and reporting, so you and your team spend time on the work that matters.

How do I get started?

Take the free Business Foundation Assessment. It shows where your business foundations are strong and where they need work, so we start with the area that will free up the most of your time.
